Synopsis:
The main characters of the animated series, based on the books by Judit Berg, are the Verdies, tiny inhabitants of the Lakeside. Their primary task is to protect the Reed Sea from the Grimps. The series presents the eventful happenings of a full year, from spring to winter, from the awakening of nature to the freezing of the Reed Sea.

Moomintroll wakes early from hibernation and, finding winter enchanting, wakes Snorkmaiden; they discover their firewood is gone, only to find Too-Ticky using it to build a massive bonfire on a cliff, a traditional ritual to welcome the sun’s return, which culminates in the chilling appearance of the Groke, adding a touch of winter’s danger to the celebration.
