ANIMATION HUB PRIVACY POLICY
1. INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
Purpose of the Policy. This policy (the “Policy“) governs the conditions under which personal data is processed and specifies the rights and obligations of the data controller and data subjects. The Policy also defines the legal grounds for processing and the conditions under which personal data may be transferred to other entities. All processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”).
About Us. We are CEE Animation, EHZS, Company ID: 08420122, with registered office at Na Doubkové 2040/8, Smíchov, 15000 Praha 5, the Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague under file number H 2276 (the “Controller” or “we“).
Platform. We operate the platform available at animationhub.eu (the “Platform”), which provides access to a collection of animated works of any format through embedded videos or links from various VOD sites. Through the Platform, users can search for European animated works (the “Works” or the “Work”), access the Works or profiles of authors and if available review them.
Scope of the Policy. This Policy applies whenever we process your personal data as a data controller. In particular, this includes the following situations:
- Registration and access to the Platform. We process the personal data of users who register or access the Platform.
- Submission of Works. We process the personal data of authors who submit the Work or Works to share them on the Platform and also of other people participating on creation of the Work.
- Use of the Platform. We process personal data of users in order to provide access to the Works and related services.
- Communication. We process your personal data when you contact us (for example, via e-mail or support).
Scope of processing. We shall process personal data to the smallest possible extent. Processing of personal data is necessary in certain cases, mainly for the proper use of the Platform and submission of Works.

2. PERSONAL DATA
The personal data we process, and the purposes of such processing can be divided into the following categories:
- Identification Data. For example, your first name and surname, date of birth (if provided), or other information that allows us to identify you. This may also include your business name, registration number, or tax ID.
- Contact Details. For the purpose of communicating with you regarding your use of the Platform, submission of the Works, or support requests. This includes your email address and, if provided, your phone number.
- Login Details. For the purpose of providing secure access to the Platform. This includes your username, password, and authentication tokens or similar identifiers.
- Information from Your Device. To ensure the proper provision of the Platform and its features, and to maintain the security and functionality of the Website and applications. This may include cookies, IP address, device identifiers, operating system and browser version, location data (if enabled), and related technical information.
- Billing and Payment Details. For the purpose of processing and verifying payments. This includes information on invoices, bank details, payment card details (processed via secure payment providers), and records of payments received or made.
- Content you Upload to the Platform. While using the Platform and interacting with it, you may voluntarily provide information about yourself, including your reflections, reviews, messages, or other personal notes. Such data may reveal information about your personal life, preferences, or opinions.
- Information from our communication. This includes the content of emails, support requests, chat records, or other communications with us. Such information may also contain personal details that you choose to disclose.
3. REASONS AND PERIODS OF PROCESSING
We are authorized to process personal data only on the basis of a relevant legal ground supported by applicable law. We process personal data solely on the following legal grounds:
We process personal data both manually and using automated tools. However, we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that would have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. DATA PROCESSORS
We also transfer personal data to other entities that are in the position of personal data processors. They are entitled to process the personal data transferred only within the agreed scope.
Specifically, we transfer processed personal data to the following entities and use the following services:
- our developers and other contractors who ensure the proper functioning of the Platform;
- Google Ireland Ltd, which operates the marketing tools Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google AdSense and Google AdMob.
- Other providers of marketing and advertising tools such as Seznam.cz, a.s. and Meta Platforms Inc.
- providers of analytical and marketing tools;
- providers of legal and tax services;
We may also transfer personal data to public authorities if required by law, or where necessary to protect our rights and legitimate interests.
5. TRANSMISSION OF PERSONAL DATA
We may transfer personal data outside the EU. If we decide to transfer personal data outside the EU in the future, it will only be done in accordance with the GDPR and only to countries or entities where an adequate level of data protection is ensured. When providing personal data to countries outside the EU, we do so in accordance with the GDPR, i.e. either on the basis of an adequacy decision or using standard contractual clauses and binding internal company rules. When providing data to the US, we primarily select entities that fall under the Data Privacy Framework.

We use cookies to ensure the proper functioning, security, and optimisation of the Platform. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when visiting the Platform.

Essential (Necessary) Cookies

7. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
You have the following rights in relation to the processing of personal data. You can exercise them via letter to the address of our registered office or via e-mail to [email protected].
- Right to withdraw consent. If we process personal data on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
- Right to access. You have the right to obtain information about what data we hold about you and how we process it. Also, you have the right to access this personal data or a copy of it. We will provide you with the first copy free of charge; for the second and subsequent copies we are entitled to claim reimbursement of the necessary costs of making the copy.
- Right to rectification and completion. If you discover that we are processing incorrect data, you have the right to request its correction or completion.
- Right to erasure. Under certain conditions, we are also obliged to delete the personal data we hold about you. For example, if there is no longer any reason on our part to process the personal data for the purposes for which it was collected or in connection with compliance with another request from you (withdrawal of consent, objection).
- Right to restriction of processing. If you do not wish to have your personal data erased but do not wish us to continue to process it, you can ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
- Right to portability of personal data. In some cases, you may ask us to transfer the personal data we hold about you to you or another responsible person in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
- Right to object. You also have the right to object (in the case of processing based on legitimate interest). We will then evaluate the objection within one month of receipt. In the event of an objection to the further transmission of commercial communications, we will always comply with the objection.
- Right to lodge a complaint. If you suspect that your personal data is being unlawfully processed, you may file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, http://www.uoou.gov.cz/, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7.
