Pear
I came up with the whole story by listening to a foreign radio fm in which a narrator told a story about in a language I didn’t understand. Whilst listening to the piece bit by bit, I was able to feel the atmosphere, I somehow understood what it was about and wanted to translate it to myself.
Berlin Block Tetris
The idea is based on a kind of parody of the former socialist building style. They used to build whole cities where each house was designed identically to create cheap housing for workers. These ‘blocks’ were so similar that in Soviet times, you could easily wake up at a friend’s place in another city and still feel like you are in your flat. Even the furniture was the same.
Mercury’s Retrograde
A millennial is relying on her magic 8-ball to make sense of a chaotic life. Her non stopping questions cause her to fall through the sofa into her unconsciousness. When realising her 8-ball disappeared, she sets out on a journey to find it, encountering different aspects of herself. A satire about a never ending quest towards self realisation, self improvement, and life’s answers.
