The Hungarian Folk Tales stem from original folktale collections, every episode has its special authentic ornamentation. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes. The king brings presents for his daughters, but he cannot fulfil his youngest’s wish because he is unable to find talking grapes, smiling apples and ringing apricots anywhere. On his way home he gets into trouble and only a white swine is able to help him. In return for his assistance the king promises his daughter’s hand to the swine. So, the swine comes for the king's daughter, takes her with him on his cart to the pigsty. But then, lo and behold.
Music video by the young Hungarian artist Tomek Ducki. Once again, he works with vivid colours and elaborates the story of the original sin of Adam and Eve. In his version, the woman is a very important character and his method reminds of watercolour paintings.

In this short interview Zénó gives us some insight of his inspiration on the topic and the visual style.

What do you think where these creatures are all going to? Do you study animation? Have you just finished your first animated film on your own? Then PRIMANIMA is the festival you want to participate. It primarily focuses on workshop films, diploma films made by students and first films made by young professionals or non-professionals all over the world. We are proud to present you PRIMANIMA World Festival of First Animations which will take place 25-28 October 2012 in Budaörs.

The Primanima International First-Film Animation Festival returns, marking its 10th edition in Budaörs this year. This year, the animated short films arrive earlier than usual—running from October 5 to 8—at the Jókai Mór Cultural Center and BABtér, with Saturday events also taking place at the Municipal Youth Club. In addition to screenings for adults, teens, and children, the festival will once again feature workshops, discussions, and, of course, parties. Professional programs are taking on a new format, and Primanima Jumpstart—a hybrid talent development program—is launching as well.

We interviewed Panni Gyulai, whose film *Broken Things* won the PrimAlter Jury Award at the 8th Primanima festival, while Csaba Kalotás took home the PrimaSound Special Award for the film's sound design. Panni spoke to us about the process of creating films inspired by personal experiences.
Réka Bucsi (1988) is an independent animation filmmaker from Hungary. She earned her BFA and MFA at the animation department of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest. Her graduation film Symphony no. 42 was shortlisted for an Oscar in 2014. Her films were screened in official shorts competition programmes at Berlinale, SXSW, Sundance, Annecy, and won over 50 international awards. In 2013/2014 she attended Animation Sans Frontiéres (ASF), a European animation production workshop.
We asked László Csáki about his upcoming animated film, Blue Pelikán, which also features Primanima award winner Máté Horesnyi. He also shared his opinion on the films Fekete-fehér and Chris, a svájci.
Acclaimed animation directors Péter Vácz and Joseph Wallace led an intensive four day stop motion workshop as part of the PRIMANIMA World Festival of First Animations in Budapest (Oct. 2017). Twelve international participants joined the directors to learn the practice and theory around their methodologies of creating cinematic puppet animation from simple materials.
