Nový Prostor is a street paper sold by people as a part of social rehabilitation in streets of Czech Republic. Zdeněk, one of the people selling this magazine, stands in front of National Theatre every day. In a short animated documentary, he talks about his relationship with the place he was assigned with and people he meets there on a daily basis.

The exciting film does not use words to tell the story, but rather uses a dramatic soundtrack. It is an excellent example of wire stop motion animation.

The audiovisual experiment [A]SPHX was made thorugh the conscious deformation of the digital process. Visual material that would usually get thrown out is transformed in a “two-dimensional” format into distinct and dynamic color fields animated by a minimalist beat, inspired by glitch art and the principles of absolute film.
The world is moving ever so fast and humans are claiming more and more space without necessarily considering the consequences. ‘Pandas’ is caught in the middle of a game where concepts of commercialism and pure voyeuristic entertainment are put side by side with notions of animal preservation. Yet, the very same ”saviors” are tampering with natural selection processes and altering the mind of the panda, thus creating a hierarchy in terms of the value of life. ‘Panda is at this point existing at the mercy of man but all of a sudden his compromising existence is altered by events beyond his control. From that point on, a new chapter starts in the incessant struggle between man and the rest of nature.
