Synopsis:
Martin Sheen (The West Wing) and Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises) rebel against authority at their retirement home in this poignant comedy for adults. Using hand-drawn animation, Wrinkles leaves room for both tears and laughter as it pokes fun at society’s attitudes towards the elderly.

Thanks to Léo, Alex, along with the intrepid journalist Marie, can assume the roles of guardian angels. The disfigured gangster is threatening the city. Although the policeman is stuck in his wheelchair, the boy can go anywhere he chooses. Alex can continue his investigation, with Léo acting as his eyes and legs.

While protecting his village from a rampaging boar-god, the young warrior Ashitaka becomes afflicted with a deadly curse. To find the cure that will save his life, he journeys deep into sacred depths of the Great Forest Spirit’s realm where he meets San (Princess Mononoke), a girl raised by wolves. It’s not long before Ashitaka is caught in the middle of a battle between iron-ore prospecting humans and the forest dwellers. He must summon the spirit-powers and all his courage to stop man and nature from destroying each other.

Birdboy: The Forgotten Children (Spanish: Psiconautas, los niños olvidados; festival title: Psychonauts, the Forgotten Children) is a 2015 Spanish animated drama-horror coming-of-age film written and directed by Alberto Vázquez and Pedro Rivero, based on the comic Psiconautas by Vázquez. It is the follow-up to the pair’s short film Birdboy, following the titular character, a shy outcast in a post-apocalyptic society, and Dinky, a 14 year old mouse runaway fleeing her desolate island home.
