Synopsis:
A lonely man, a cigarette, a hotel hallway – this is the setting for an ironic take on Sinatra lore. In I’m a Star! two related worlds come together: the comic strip Frankieboy by Stefan Stratil and Peter Friedrich, and the music of Louie Austen.

Lake is liquid, inanimate, emotionless. Like blood flowing through a body, the water circulates and sustains, bringing life to its surroundings. In this video, life is continuously reborn through the raindrops, through the terrain and into the air. The beauty of this process is juxtaposed with the songwriter’s perspective, someone who is detached and yearning to feel the full breadth of human emotion.

After falling asleep on the London underground, a man finds himself mysteriously spirited into the desert where he follows an illusive trail of a failed love affair. Through the exploration of song writing, the man eventually reaches catharsis and the acceptance that allows him to move on, and to find his way out of the desert.
