Synopsis:
Daniel Bruson created this very still world where two characters try to understand loneliness, loss and healing. The basis for the animation was created digitally and then painted frame by frame on paper.

After falling asleep on the London underground, a man finds himself mysteriously spirited into the desert where he follows an illusive trail of a failed love affair. Through the exploration of song writing, the man eventually reaches catharsis and the acceptance that allows him to move on, and to find his way out of the desert.

Lake is liquid, inanimate, emotionless. Like blood flowing through a body, the water circulates and sustains, bringing life to its surroundings. In this video, life is continuously reborn through the raindrops, through the terrain and into the air. The beauty of this process is juxtaposed with the songwriter’s perspective, someone who is detached and yearning to feel the full breadth of human emotion.
