A short film about ties and gaps between a child and a parent. The author rediscovers letters, her dad wrote to her from prison. That love seems to be gone now. She decides to write back in hope to find the connection again. She puts in writing what could not be said, blaming her father for the family´s break-up but also trying to understand him.

The film, which was made as part of the 70th anniversary of the animation studio at UMPRUM, is loosely inspired by the work of three graduates: Václav Mergl, Jan Souček and Vratislav Hlavatý. Motifs from their films, illustrations and paintings have been placed in new contexts to create a new work of authorship.

Widowed deer drowning his sorrows in loads of alcohol… While trying to cope with their problems, they find themselves in a hard to solve triangle asking for absurd and irrational solutions. The consequences can easily become permanent, sometimes maybe too permanent. The film is a loose adaptation of a well-known biblical story while transforming it into an contemporary ironic narrative about how the world sometimes works.

There is a cold November in a forest. Its residents, strange anthropomorphic creatures, are preparing for winter sleep. Their fragile peace is disturbed by a group of sportsmen, who arrive to the forest for a training. They don’t realize that their dynamic movements could destroy peaceful forest life and leave it forever changed.

When a young boy hides into a wall clock during playtime, his life shrinks into a single game of hide and seek. He becomes an old man with lots of memories of his childhood that manifest themselves in surreal scenes and tell a story about something which concerns every single one of us.
