Synopsis:
Window Horses: The Poetic Persian Epiphany of Rosie Ming is a 2016 Canadian animated feature film written and directed by Ann Marie Fleming (sometimes stylized with the title in parentheses or written as Window Horses without a subtitle), and a graphic novel by Fleming, Window Horses: The Poetic Epiphany of Rosie Ming. Funding for the film was raised through an Indiegogo campaign, which amassed more than $80, 000 in 50 days, from 730 contributors in 28 countries. The film was co-produced by Fleming’s Stickgirl Productions, Sandra Oh and the National Film Board of Canada.

I Lost My Body (French: J’ai perdu mon corps) is a 2019 French adult animated film directed by Jérémy Clapin. It premiered in the International Critics’ Week section at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, [4] where it won the Nespresso Grand Prize, becoming the first animated film to do so in the section’s history. While protecting his village from a rampaging boar-god, the young warrior Ashitaka becomes afflicted with a deadly curse. To find the cure that will save his life, he journeys deep into sacred depths of the Great Forest Spirit’s realm where he meets San (Princess Mononoke), a girl raised by wolves. It’s not long before Ashitaka is caught in the middle of a battle between iron-ore prospecting humans and the forest dwellers. Based on Hanna Schott’s children’s book this animation feature tells the story of fourth grader Fritzi in the East German city of Leipzig during the summer of 1989. She is supposed to watch her best friend Sophie’s dog for her over the summer – but she finds out that Sophie and her family have fled to the West via Hungary. Fritzi does everything she can to be reunited with her friend. With a subtle sense for pedagogy and many moving moments this film will introduce a young generation to the complex political and historical events that led to the German reunification.
