Communism left its mark not only on those who lived in it, but also on the subsequent generations as well. After more than twenty-five years, we still face the remnants of socialist era around every corner. However, people’s memories and the way they perceive the fall of communism and life during and after this period tend to be different. ‘Memento’ is an experimental animation short-film which presents the fragments of these memories through the lens of subjectivity.
Animated short created during a BA3 course led by Árpád Hermán and László Broviniszki in association with the Ancient Greek collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest. The task was to use the figures of the Ancient Greek vases in a more contemporary, youthful way and create animated shorts.
The story is about a boy waiting for the food trucks to enter Gaza, only to learn the crossings will remain closed. His grandmother is evacuated and moves in with him and his father, bringing her beloved chickens. With chicken no longer available in the market, the boy tries to persuade his grandmother to let him eat one of hers, but she refuse as they are like family to her! However she promises him a chicken if he fulfils her wishes, leading to an unexpected turn.”
Accompanied by a familiar melody, the Argentinian video clip draws us into the vortex of a world whose animation is based on the magic of the zoopraxinoscope. Combined with other animation techniques, the result is an unusual work using not only a fascination with primordial animation devices, but also hand-drawn or stop-motion animation.
In the music video we visit a bizarre shop in the middle of nowhere. Our guide is a shady man in a bowler hat, who may not be as friendly as he seems. The shop offers a variety of bizarre items including portals to other worlds.
Manivald is a fox in his early 30s. He is still living at home with his mother. One day a young hot wolf called Toomas comes to fix the washing machine. A love triangle develops between the three of them. Things get out of hand and Manivald realizes that it is time to move out.
In a city of drawn characters, we witness the arrival of an entity of unknown materiality. With a mysterious presence and its exotic allegories, it starts to enchant people, awakening their most insane senses.

A short film about ties and gaps between a child and a parent. The author rediscovers letters, her dad wrote to her from prison. That love seems to be gone now. She decides to write back in hope to find the connection again. She puts in writing what could not be said, blaming her father for the family´s break-up but also trying to understand him.
How does it look like when the society is demnanding from us a better body and this demanding leads to devasting self-love.
Łona and Webber present their second single: ‘#nikiforszczecinski’ – a tribute to street art in all its forms. The song tells the story of a street artist from Szczecin who arranged his works from newspaper clippings, plants, candles, bricks and plush rats. The window sill and the gate of the tenement building in which he lived served as his very own exhibition space. The creator of this video – Lump – is one of the most recognisable street art artists in Poland.
