  • Fox Tossing (trailer)

    2022 16+ 1 min

by Zénó Mira, Kristóf Zénó MIRA

A garden party is held in the park of the baroque castle: the landscape is idyllic, the company is cozy, the food is aristocratic, and everything is traditional and refined. At the same time, in the other part of the garden, cages rattle, ropes rustle, and foxes whine. From the initial idyll, the film slowly moves to another level of pleasure, and a cruel game of “fox throwing” begins, which becomes increasingly bloody and inhumane.

A hypnotic journey into the darkest of forests. Within an atmosphere of ambiguity, the phantasmagoric suggestion of figures, faces and ominous sound, in interaction with the landscape, invokes a space for immersive personal interpretation. An unforgettable nightmare.

  • Food Chain

    2018 16+ 9 min

    by Mari Kivi, Liis Kokk

On the one hand it’s dirty work and on the other hand gorgeous product. This is a film about making food and consuming it. The producing part itself is not always as clean as we hope, yet we turn the blind eye as long as the end product looks desirable enough. The film plays with the fantasy of making food and about the satisfaction we get when having delicious products.

FOOD is an animated documentary that features interviews with a wide variety of eaters from around the world. Ranging from vegetarians, vegans, pescetarians to some seriously dedicated carnivores, the conversation raises many substantial issues about the environment and modern life. By pairing real interviews with stop-motion animation, the film presents a group of “edible characters” discussing themselves.
