A dead body became stuck by a river bank. Its decaying insides still hide a human soul – a miniature of the deceased. Rotting organs part and a tiny creature gets out. Standing on the river bank, it says goodbye to the corpse and sets off on a journey through the post-mortem land.

Lucas, a thirteen-year-old teenager, returns from summer camp. He’s sad because he failed to confess his love. He takes comfort in his daydreams in which he relives his memories and fantasies. But in order to move on, he must confront this failure and accept it.

This work is based on aerial attacks that I experienced in my early childhood. The more time passes, the more vividly this memory comes back, and always gives a strong stimulus and an inexplicable disquiet to my creations.
