A poetic video clip from the workshop of the Máj author pair introduces us to an imaginary landscape in which, with the help of simple symbolism, we follow the problematic relationship between a man and a woman. The graphic aesthetic is dominated by the motif of the hands that the heroes manipulate against the background of the themed horizon.

The film, which was made as part of the 70th anniversary of the animation studio at UMPRUM, is loosely inspired by the work of three graduates: Václav Mergl, Jan Souček and Vratislav Hlavatý. Motifs from their films, illustrations and paintings have been placed in new contexts to create a new work of authorship.

People get lost in the deep forest and the chances of getting out are minimal, but not hopeless. The only way to escape is to go on a journey and respect the forest. But the hero of this film failed to do that, who disrespected the deep forest and now he has to pay for it.

Cimpoiasca’s Czech music video is characterized by brilliant drawing, play with folklore elements and a number of visual ideas. A music video plunging into a nightmare and telling a story about female friendship, which is as bitterly delicious as homemade plum, was shot by a graduate of Prague’s FAMU.
