Living trough the air raids of the German Luftwaffe 1940, the little boy Paul tries to exp- lain to himself what’s happening to the city during the nights he’s taking shelter down in the London Underground.
The film is based on a poem Ciganska, written by Miroslav Krleža, one of the greatest Croatian literary authors. The atmosphere, the complex surreal characters, and furthermore, the choice of an austere Krleža’s poem (1936), shows authors have made an aware reference to German expressionism. That way they have focused on depicting the psyche of characters, particularly stressing out ultimate angst, alienation in urban jungle, or baffling drive for self-destruction.
Dániel Juhász, a young aspiring painter with low self-esteem, is in his last round of interviews at the painting department of the Academy of Fine Arts. While waiting for his interview, his demons appear to him in the form of garden pests.
