Synopsis:
At dusk in the Wild West, we meet the calm and simple cowboy, Kevin, and his Horse sitting by their campfire. Kevin and Horse have been on a journey cross-country to find the mystery Lady who wrote Kevin a love letter, and now they are near their destination. Kevin is eager to finally meet her, but he realizes that love is not always what you expect.

A mysterious box arriving at the door disturbs Salini’s peaceful routine leaving her paralysed and obsessed with discovering the contents of the box. I poured so much of myself into this project and have fallen in love with stop motion as well as the weird and wonderful world that Salini lives in during this process. The patience and care needed to create it has taught me a lot about the gentleness and love that we owe to ourselves and each other.

The upcoming webinar will offer a candid discussion between a director and a producer on the challenges and triumphs of creating a stop-motion musical. Featuring acclaimed director Bára Anna Stejskalová (Love Is Just a Death Away, 9 Million Colors) and Emmy Award-winning producer Jakub Košťál (Bionaut Animation, CZ), the session will dive into the intricacies of the genre, touching on topics like working with directors of photography, navigating budgets, overcoming production setbacks, and handling very tricky puppets. Bára Anna Stejskalová Czech director. Her graduation film The Fishermen (2017) was on BAFTA shortlist. Co-creator of HEARDT (Burning Man 2018). Her film Love Is Just a Death Away (2020) had US premiere at SXSW, was on BAFTA shortlist, won 2 prizes at Palm Springs festival. Currently working on 9 Million Colors. Jakub Koštál (Bionaut Animation) Member of Czech Film and Television Academy, member of International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Winner of International Emmy Award 2020 for series #martyisdead. Studied production at FAMU. Works as producer at Bionaut on several films and series.
