Still, there’s something strange about her… The power of denial and fear of change keep the old lady trapped in her worst nightmares until suddenly a long-kept secret emerges and the old lady can’t escape it anymore.
Employing the method of single frame editing, primarily focused on sound, the realistic film image transforms into a surreal, structuralist and finally even abstract film.

The short animated film “Dominik’s Stories” is a collaboration between George Radojčica, a neurodiversity artist working at the Studio of Joyful Creation, and animator Magdalena Hejzlarová. You know, it’s like having a dog, and it chooses someone else as its owner, not you. And as soon as the “other” rings the bicycle bell, the dog, happily wagging its tail, rushes to catch up with him.
The story begins with a lazy morning of an old lady who lives alone with a few pets. While preparing for a walk with her dogs, the grandma falls on the floor and never gets up. The pets stay at home, helpless and alone. Their attempts to find some food in empty bowls and the waste end in failure. Meanwhile, the flat becomes infested by a swarm of flies and filled with odour of the decomposing corpse. Slowly, as time passes, the closed, claustrophobic space transforms into a battlefield. For one of the dogs the corpse of the owner becomes a source of food and a chance for survival. For the second one the corpse remains a sanctity, a relic of its formerly loving owner.
Gravitational waves are passing through every existing dimension, even the almost undetectable ones. The scientific experiment, in its basic utilitarian nature, is aimed at the understanding of the multidimensional structure of things and has the potential for an uncanny experience.

An alarm clock wakes a man who washes his face, has breakfast, drives his car to work, spins records, returns home, and takes his pills. It’s a world of circles – often seen from above: an espresso cup, a stairwell, the pills, and the records spinning. At the dance where the music plays, the rhythms evoke images of a butcher slicing head cheese, gears driving other wheels and levers, a combine churning out bales of hay, a butcher cutting chunks of meat for a stew, and boxers punching.
