To learn how to process bad news and face adversity in life, you undoubtedly need some skills. In this short humorous film, probably loosely inspired by Inside Out and Inside Out 2, we get to see the mental processes of an unfortunate person and hopefully get some tips on what to do.
On a night walk, a couple in love come across a frog who’s definitely not interested in their attention. The frog, her child and other creatures of the forest rather allow themselves to be carried away by the wild rhythm of the electronic music by Czech performer Johuš Matuš, secretly hoping that the uninvited guests will leave soon. The music video’s co-director Julie Černá worked with Johuš Matuš on her acclaimed film The Stone of Destiny.
A charming touch of craftsmanship, carefully chosen colour palette and the quiver of cutout animation particularly evident in animated flames make this music video a suggestive spectacle. By repeating distinctive motifs to the hypnotic tones of the song, it acts as an audiovisual spell.
In India, cultural practice requires young girls to be dedicated to a Hindu temple, becoming temple dancers, serving its deity and priests for life. At the dedication ceremony they receive Muttu – a red and white necklace symbolizing their status. In a few short minutes, the director succeeds in building an oppressive atmosphere by using, among other things, traditional Indian music.
During a nighttime walk, two lovers stumbled upon a frog who clearly wasn’t looking for company. Lost in the wild beats of Johuš Matuš, the frog, its baby, and the rest of the forest party just hoped the uninvited guest would move along soon.
Were we equals, or were some of us just using others? This non-narrative film explores the possibilities of textile materials and techniques in conjunction with the moving image. A musical composition by the artistic duo Nadváha is stitched by the repetitive sound of a sewing machine.

The animated video clip was created as a closing ceremony at UMPRUM in Prague. Four second-year students were challenged to combine their different approaches to visuals and animation itself. The central motifs of the film are the range of cartoon animation and the building of friendship, metaphorically represented in the theme of this work.

They are never accurate, they are fast as lightning, but they carry in themselves a light nostalgia and calm. Moments that you want to remember forever: a mother’s song, the clear sky above, and the certainty of tomorrow, knowing that a whole summer of fun is still ahead.

Three authors, three different generations, three different perspectives on their own work. All three worked in the audiovisual industry, advertising and other commercial spheres. Through animated interviews, the film approaches their experiences and asks whether there is also a place for author’s work in their lives.

This film takes place in a world where clouds knowingly interfere with people’s lives. But the people don’t suspect a thing. The whole history of the clouds is revealed after a newborn cloud tries to help a selfish biker. However, because of the biker’s recklessness, nothing changes for humanity.

The Concrete Jungle is a short animated film inspired by the limitless imagination of children. When a neighbour drills into a wall, who knows what a child thinks of a sound he doesn’t know and can’t identify. Maybe a herd of bisons is trampling through the neighbour‘s flat, or a savage cannibalistic tribe lives there. Thrilling tales of a small boy in a housing estate where even the most exciting adventures in the world can take place.
