    by Aleksandar Marks, Vladimir Jutriša

A free association of Poe’s theme. In Poe’s work, all evil comes from and inside of a man. Marks went the opposite way. Here, the cat is the personification of evil, which provokes human aggression with its aggression. This – actually fictitious – animal causes in man hatred and the desire to kill.

  • Little Tom Thumb

    1980 16+ 11 min

    by Milan Blažeković

This is a story based on the fairy tale about little Thumbelina. In our case, little Palčić becomes a symbol of a “small” man who works diligently, while others, the “big” ones, derive material benefit from it. At the end of the story, a good fairy appears and as a reward for his diligence, turns him into a great man. The misfortune was that it happened at the wrong time and in the wrong place. He was cruelly punished, because society needs these “little” people, and it gives them wide opportunities for work and only for work.

From a calm everyday person exposed to constant sound bombardment, a person becomes dangerous. He is able to tear down and destroy. But maybe it’s all just a fairy tale, because each of us carries everything that accumulates in us during our short human life.
