A three-act epic about a seven-year-old boy who can’t sleep, thinking about his issues. There are sounds coming from his parents’ room, some loud and disturbing noises. What could that be? A story about childhood, sex and insomnia.
There is a cold November in a forest. Its residents, strange anthropomorphic creatures, are preparing for winter sleep. Their fragile peace is disturbed by a group of sportsmen, who arrive to the forest for a training. They don’t realize that their dynamic movements could destroy peaceful forest life and leave it forever changed.
The main character, Noctuelle, is the creator of the butterflies that bring dreams to people. There is also another character, the bat, who is the exact opposite of Noctuelle.
Combining hands-on techniques with digital and analog technologies, No Objects transfigures forms of expression, turning photographs into etchings and sound into motion. An ode to touch in which every gesture is magnified and the image can be heard, the film offers both a bracing and contemplative meditation on the tactile world.
