A film about (local) patriotism, tourism and emigration. The girl lives in a gray, isolated country, enclosed by a huge wall. She has never travelled anywhere, but all her life she has dreamt of leaving forever for a perfect world called “Abroad”.

It’s my message of love to Gaza and the Palestinian people, in particular to animator Haneen Koraz, Shorouq Darwish and Nour abdel Jawad and their team of women animation artists who devote themselves tirelessly to bringing hope to the children of Gaza. My little film was inspired by the poem Hamza by the great Palestinian poet FADWA TUQAN. I chose the part of her poem that compares and connects the mystery of the fertility of the Palestinian land to the mysterious power of it’s women.

He started singing his song already in the nursery. And so he continues all his life. The song is not ugly, the voice is not unpleasant, but everything is constantly the same. He tries to fit into the middle, but it always ended with resentment, expulsion, blows, harsh reactions. However, he did not give in.
This work is based on aerial attacks that I experienced in my early childhood. The more time passes, the more vividly this memory comes back, and always gives a strong stimulus and an inexplicable disquiet to my creations.
