People will never fail, even in hopeless situations — thanks to man. Man does not bring a universal solution, but at least he makes it possible for everything to be repeated and for civilization to last.
“Peregrine” is an experimental animated film about obsession, instinct, and innate darkness. It explores the elegance and majesty of nature, but also its unavoidable cruelty. It is inspired by the autobiographical “The Peregrine”, written by A. J. Baker.
I came up with the whole story by listening to a foreign radio fm in which a narrator told a story about in a language I didn’t understand. Whilst listening to the piece bit by bit, I was able to feel the atmosphere, I somehow understood what it was about and wanted to translate it to myself.
The past, the present, a change of perception. What is it that keeps us from going forward and why does the past keep pulling us back? When do we realize that our perception of things has shifted? Everyone goes through that process. What differs is how we experience and deal with it.
Leaves are falling all around, colder winds are arriving and birds are gathering together in preparation for the journey south. Though autumn is at an end and winter is imminent one bird refuses to accept that this change is happening. Most of all he is upset that his favourite perch is shedding its leaves, for him the weather is not to blame and he trys to work out who the true culprit really is. This is the reason that he protects his perch from anything that threatens the status quo, but try as he might he is unable to avert this inevitable march of time.
A security guard’s nightly ritual – a Tetris game – is interrupted by unexpected technical issues. One of the surveillance cameras breaks down, and the game sets its own rules.
Deep in the night when everyone is fast asleep, funny shapes and jolly beasts rumble though the bedroom. There is so much to discover! Only the break of dawn will put an end to their nightly adventures. But dusk is only a stone’s throw away.

I was playing basketball until I entered college. During a basketball game, when I stole an opponent’s ball and attacked in haste, I felt my body started moving as fast as an army brain. I still get this feeling sometimes, even now that I no longer play basketball.
