A mysterious box arriving at the door disturbs Salini’s peaceful routine leaving her paralysed and obsessed with discovering the contents of the box. I poured so much of myself into this project and have fallen in love with stop motion as well as the weird and wonderful world that Salini lives in during this process. The patience and care needed to create it has taught me a lot about the gentleness and love that we owe to ourselves and each other.
The video for Pamphlets is a meditation on the feeling of being unfit, unlovable, not compatible and the manic anxiety and stress that this results in. Also, it is about the emergence from that state of mind through the embrace of uncertainty, insecurity and difference.
