As soon as the M arrives, the protagonist realises she is completely unprepared, since there are no menstrual pads or tampons in her purse. With that, an absurd mission filled with obstacles begins. She tries to keep the ‘red waterfall’ gushing between her legs hidden, which symbolises overthinking and a panicky state of mind. Through the protagonist’s actions, the author is questioning society and its relation to the individual. She also questions the attitude of the society towards period and how the individual deals with the same red taboo subject.
